This week, we started a new workshop in Ainata and the towns of the region within the project “Supporting Livelihoods through Afforestation and Forest Management” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and with the support of the World Food Program (WFP) and within the framework of livelihood improvement activities, implemented by The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) in cooperation with Ainata Al Arz Municipality and in partnership with Darb Al Ain Association (DAA). About 30 people of different ages participate in this project in Ainata, in various environmental and agricultural activities.
On the occasion of the Lord's Day, the Darb Al Ain Association organized a two-day tourist program for a group of different ages, accompanied by Father Rashad Jaber from the Communauté des Béatitudes - Lebanon. They spent the night in guest houses in Ainata and walked with local guides from the association on the "Road to the Spring" trail, and the journey concluded with a divine mass next to the Al-Ghab Mill, to the sound of the flowing water of the spring.
Within the project “Supporting Livelihoods through Reforestation and Forest Management” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and with the support of the World Food Program (WFP) and within the framework of livelihood improvement activities, implemented by the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) in cooperation with Ainata Al Arz Municipality and in partnership with Darb Al Ain Association (DAA). Within the framework of the Forests Project to Improve Life, funded by USAID Lebanon and implemented by the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI), a machine was delivered to Darb Al Ain Association to grind all kinds of dry plants, and agricultural engineer Raymond Khoury trained the association members on how to operate this machine. To be used for the good of the association and the town.

Within the framework of the project to support skills development and job opportunities in the dairy sector in Lebanon implemented by the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative funded by Hanns Seidel Stiftung a project with the Darb Al Ain Association, a training course on herbs and tea industry and lasted for 4 days at Darb Al Ain Center. A big thank you to the trainer, Eng. Raymond Khoury, for his continuous support, professional training, and love for our association.
Within the framework of the national campaign to reduce forest fires, Darb Al Ain Association, with the support of the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative, distributed an awareness brochure on the prevention of forest fires in Lebanon, to schools, scouts and many associations in the Deir El Ahmar region in order to educate students and youth on the importance of protecting forests from fires and how to pre-prevent the conservation of forest wealth.
With the support of the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI), funded by the USAID Lebanon, we met in Yammoune to participate in an environmental activity that included a walk on the path of the Yamoune National Reserve. Members of the Darb Al Ain Association, the Lebanese Relief Scouts Deir El Ahmar, and a large group of Yammoune participated in the activity, and we accompanied by the local guide Muhammad Shreif.
