Stargazing
If you're hoping to do some sky watching and to find a great spot, to gaze at or observe the stars by a telescope during a camping night, Ainata the highest village in Lebanon and the Middle East (1670 m), is characterized by some key things that allow her to be the best place for stargazing. Paragliding
Ainata Al Arz is the highest Lebanese town in the Middle East (1660m) and sits at the bottom of the highest peaks of Lebanon and the Middle East: Dahr El Kadib (2858m), Fam El Mizab (2990m), Qornat As Sawda (3088m). If you drive from The Cedars to Ainata and you stop in Daher El Kadib area near the French Room to have a look to Ainata and the Beqaa, you will get a wonderful view to a distinguished paradise. But what if you get the chance to have this look from the sky?? The launch site for Ainata paragliding is from Dahr El Kadib Mountain the best point to get the top paragliding flight. During the flight you will have enough time to enjoy bird’s-eye panoramic views to the North Beqaa that extend from Ainata to Baalbek and an overlook to the Beqaa valley. Landing on a flat ground in the village is as easy as taking off from the Mountain, no rapid decline but just gentle touch down.

Apple Picking
Ainata is well known for the best quality of produced fresh apples and the most important types are: Scarlet Spur, Super Red Chief, Early Red One, Top Red, Red Washington, Jeromine, Gala Royal, Golden Gibson, Golden B, Granny Smith and Fuji Apple.
Autumn is a special time of the year in rural Lebanon, Darb Al Ain offers you the chance to participate in apple harvest activities with the farmers in Ainata village. Our day will start by picking apples and helping the villagers in their enjoying fresh air with the spectacular views to the apple orchards and the stunning green nature with various gardens. In a friendly ambiance you will enjoy picking and each participant can get 5KG of the tasty juicy apples. At the end we will share together a traditional meal, prepared by villagers of Ainata.
What to bring:
- Participant can bring with them gloves if they prefer.
- Very important to have with you your own bags.
Hiking
Ainata Al Arz has a stunning green nature with various gardens. It is the gift of water, which is abundant in its land and explodes fountains and beautiful fresh springs. In addition to fresh water, nature and the distinctive climate in summer with fresh air, it is also characterized by geographical terrains between the valley and mountain and orchards that captivate you with its breathtaking nature scenery. Snowshoeing
We invites you to go on a snowshoeing excursion around Ainata Al Arz, the highest Lebanese town in the Middle East, for 3 or 5 hours at a slow pace, with an exceptional panorama of the highest peaks of Lebanon and the Middle East: Fam El Mizab (2990m), Dahr El Kadib ( 2858m), Qornat As Sawda (3088 m).
